The client wanted a stylish, warm, and premium bookstore with bold contrasts, smart storage solutions, and a grand reception. The space was to be thoughtfully designed around a central portrait of Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati, creating a harmonious blend of functionality and cultural depth
We designed the bookstore with fluted glass cabinets to balance privacy and openness. Light wooden laminate on the flooring, walls, and furniture introduced warmth, while concrete-finished walls and counters added a contemporary edge.
Off-white laminate on cabinets and tables maintained a clean, modern aesthetic. Warm lighting enhanced visibility, and clearly marked signage improved navigation. Modular fittings—including portable storage, pegboards, and display shelves—ensured flexibility and ease of movement.
At the heart of the space, a grand reception table established a strong focal point, while the portrait of Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati added a sense of identity, tradition, and presence.
